How To Speed up the Computer

There are many factors that my cause to run computer slow it may be related to the software or hardware, sometime due to viruses, malwares. This article will guide you step by step instruction how to speed the computer.

Uninstall Unnecessary Programs
Uninstalled the unnecessary programs that is not needed like games, trial version antivirus or any other software that is not needed as they takes a lots of disk space.

Remove the Temporary Files
In order to increase the web browsing, web browser stores the visited web pages on computer hard-disk, this page are stored in a temporary internet files (cache) folder. When this folder fills up to much data the performance of computer can suffer. So it’s good to delete the temporary files. Go to run type %temp% hit enter. Then the screen will open displaying temporary file you can deleted it. You will find Temporary folder.

C:\Users\Xyz\AppData\Local\Temp

Xyz is the user name, but you have to unhide the AppData by clicking on to show the hidden files, folders, drives.You can also download the software like: CCleaner, Cleanup, another way to delete temp. File is by entering the command called “prefetch

Scan for Malware
Malware is a term used to define Trojan, viruses, spyware.
Scan the computer with antivirus, purchase a good antivirus. You can also make the use of virus removal tool like; - eScan Anti-Virus Toolkit (MWAV).

Fix windows System Files
The windows system files can be corrupted due to many reason the windows operating system includes a useful tool called “System File Checker (Sfc)” that can scan for a corrupted files and repairs them. Go to run type sfc /scannow and hit enter. After completed the scan restart the system. Remember there is space between sfc and scannow.


Use only one Antivirus program.
Reduce the Visual Effect.
Go to Computer, and then to property, then advanced system Settings, then to 3rd tap that is advanced, here go to performance, now under the 1st tap that is visual effects click on to the last option that is adjust for the best performance.

What need of doing this?
It will turn off all the animation and the visual effect without which the system can work well, thus keeping the processing free from doing unnecessary proceeding thus increasing the speed of system. 


Disk Cleanup 
(cleanmgr.exe) is a computer maintenance utility included in Microsoft Windows designed to free up disk space on a computer's hard drive. The utility first searches and analyses the hard drive for files that are no longer of any use, and then removes the unnecessary files. There are a number of different file categories that Disk Cleanup targets when performing the initial disk analysis:

ü  Compression of old files
ü  Temporary Internet files
ü  Temporary Windows files
ü  Downloaded program files
ü  Recycle Bin
ü  Removal of unused applications or optional Windows components
ü  Setup log files
ü  Offline web pages (cached)

The policies can address or point to any security controls from password to backup, applications to servers. The most important of all is the proper use of the I.T resources.
